Thoughtless Thursdays

You know how you get to that point about the middle of the week where you just don’t want to think about what’s for dinner?  You’ve already had to come up with supper every night after work and the work week is dragging on and you’re contemplating take out?  Well, nothing against your favorite neighborhood pizzaria or Chinese delivery place, but inevitably it’s far healthier and cheaper to cook your own food at home.  And you can do it with very little thought if you’ll only plan ahead a little.  Maybe you’re one of those people whose slow cooker is collecting dust on a shelf somewhere.  If you are, it’s time to dust it off.  There truly is no easier way to have dinner ready by the time you get home than to use your crock pot.  That’s what this weekly feature is all about, highlighting recipes that make life easier.

What do I need to know?

If you’d like to share a recipe all you have to do is send an email to potsandplots (at) gmail.com with your name, the name and link of your blog, and the link to your recipe.  And let me know which of your pictures you’d like me to include in the roundup.  I’ll be posting each week’s round up at noon central time on Thursdays.  You certainly don’t have to post your recipe on Thursday–that’s just when I’ll be doing the round up.  You certainly don’t have to contribute every week to participate, and you’re more than free to share your recipes elsewhere.  In your post, please mention Thoughtless Thursdays and link to my blog (http://potsandplots.wordpress.com).  Feel free to use the Thoughtless Thursdays icon on your blog and post as well.

stuffed pepper soup. I’m starving for it. I havent found a crock pot recipe but possibly ad an idea for something different.
When i make stuffed pepper soup i use mostly beef broth or stock. and diced tomatoes. I have seen people make it w/ more of a tomato sauce base.
Rice, hamburger, onion, green peppers, diced tomatoes, beef stock or broth.

hi, i just wanna say that i like the way you write and that i love the idea about thoughtless thursdays. i do have those days and i just about throw together whatever i find in the fridge and the pantry. but i don’t use the crock pot yet though. its not something that’s popularly used where i come from.

i just want to cheer you on with the thoughtless thursdays round up. hopefully, i will get to contribute when i finally get to use my crockpot. yes, it is still gathering dust in a shelf somewhere. =D
